Red Head

And I have red hair now.  I blame Shay...  I love it.  I am a fiery red head at heart!

Paint until it's done!

Because I am the best girlfriend ever, and the fact that he desperately needs my help, I agreed to help Jake paint his spare room today.  He has a new roommate moving in and the BRIGHT LIME GREEN of the room is an eyesore that no one should have to live with.  He's never painted a room before and, despite the fact that I hate doing it, it isn't my first painting rodeo.

And I got to paint Jake's nose!
What has happened to me that I will volunteer to paint a room?  WHO AM I?

Back in town!

I'm home from Boise!  It was a good trip and I'm so proud of Angie but I'm very glad to be back.

My man picked me up from the airport with chocolate covered strawberries!  Squeee!  I sure can pick them can't I?  He asked me to bring back a potato from Idaho so what did I do?  That's right, I brought my baby a real potato and a little potato man.

Aren't they both so cute?!
I don't normally mind going out of town.  In fact, I love traveling.  However, this is the first time that I have missed someone back at home.

Of course, on the way back my eye started feeling weird.  My right eyelid began hurting and swelled up a bit.  I swear to God that if I get pink eye again I'm going to be pretty upset.  I've never had problems with my eye before and now twice in recent memory.  Course I could just be bitter because it has me back in my glasses, which I do not like.  Hopefully it feels better soon.  I kind of want to look up my symptoms on WebMD but I know that will be a mistake because it will tell me I have a parasite in my eye or cancer or something else equally as horrible.  WebMD is just never a good idea.

Night folks!

Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Of course the first time in a long time I have someone to celebrate with I am not in town.  So Happy Valentine's Day, Babe!

Or really I should be saying Happy Chocolate and Hallmark Day!

Video Production

The time as come.  Angie, Astrid and I are all in Boise ID to meet with Tawzer Dog.  Those outside the dog training world probably have no idea what Tawzer Dog is but they are THE producers of dog training and animal DVDs in the US.  Being here and seeing how a DVD is filmed is pretty cool in itself but the fact that Angie is the one filming is pretty damn cool.

Angie was very brave today.  She got up in front of a green screen and talked about flirt poles.  Very intimidating and I would have been so tongue tied but she did wonderfully.  We got mostly done with filming today and we'll do some pick ups tomorrow then she's done and in a couple of months she's going to have a fancy pants DVD.

I'm very proud of her.  This is what it is all about.  Astrid and I came to give her some emotional support.  Which for me has been sitting just out of camera range with snacks and giving her thumbs up.  It's been a good time!  Couple that with a nice hotel and hot tub and this isn't a half bad vacation!

Congrats Angie!  Can't wait to see the finished product.

"Well, that's not intimidating at all." -Angie

Oh, I'm still here.

Things have been happening.  I have quite an update that I have been meaning to type out.  Just can't seem to find the time for things like sitting around on my computer anymore.

First things first, the Broncos made it to the Superbowl.  I honestly don't really care about football.  I didn't watch one game the whole season but it was kind of cool to get to the Superbowl.  Then the Superbowl came and every Bronco fan was humiliated.  That was the worst Superbowl I have ever seen.  And yes, I do generally get around to watching them.  Mostly it's for the commercials.  However, this year the Broncos played like they'd never played the game before and the commercials stunk.  It was just a complete waste of time.  Well a complete waste of time except for the fact that I spent the whole thing curled up in my man's lap.  Still, the Broncos were spanked hard enough that we won't soon forget.  Ouch.  Really ow.

Happy Birthday to Caitlin H and Kathleen.  They both turned 27.  We're all the same age for a bit until I turn 28.

Valentine's Day is this week, which normally I don't care about.  Since I'm out of town (more of that later) this week, Jake and I celebrated on Sunday.  By celebrated I mean we went out to my favorite haunt, Jack Quinns for dinner.  Good food, good whiskey and a great guy.  How lucky can a girl get?  I got him a box of chocolates, boy chocolates because they were camouflaged.  I also got him a gift certificate to King Soopers for the ingredients of a home cooked meal of his choice.  On top of that, I did a lot of painstaking searching the internet and found him the exact eel skin wallet he bought nine years ago.  The one he has now is quite literally falling apart and I wanted to replace it for him.  I think I did pretty good.  He seemed pretty happy about it.  He got me chocolates a couple of days ago.  And on top of that he got me a motorcycle helmet so he is excused from gifts for a while.  I'm such a lucky girl.

I am currently in Boise, ID.  But I will talk about that more tomorrow.  Right now, I have other things to do.  Mostly that means I have some lounging to do while I watch cable.  Wooo!

Oops forgot to post this

This was a post that didn't actually get published.  A while back Jake helped me pick up my new bed.  I love it:

So you date a guy with a truck so that he can help you pick up your new bed.  Yes, I finally got a queen from my parents, switching it out for my full.  Finally, a bed big enough for myself and both my boys.  It isn't always easy to sleep when you can't move because you're squished by a dog and a cat.

I really need to stop talking about my bed though because I'm super tired.  Don't know why but I just feel beat.  Didn't sleep very well last night so that might be it.
