One Year Down!

I can't believe it has been a whole year with my love!  Happy One Year Jake!

Before you, I never thought there was anyone out there for me.  I didn't believe in love and I was gearing up to face a lifetime being that independent girl making her way on her own.  I was okay with that.  But now I can't imagine making this journey alone.  You've taught me never to give up on love because it will find you when you're ready.  Thank you for loving me and being the man I love.  You make me laugh, we're stupid together and you make me feel safe.  I couldn't ask for more!

I look forward to years in the future with you more and more everyday!

Oh and I hope we don't kill each other now that I'm living with you!  MUAH!

Jake has friends in town from his homeland, Portland!  We went out a lot this weekend between playing darts and pool and generally just drinking.  I didn't drink as much as I have in the past because I learned my lesson on Thursday.  I am sucky at pool, just as I remember.  But I am actually decent at darts, first time I've played.  I would have done anything just to go out with them of course.

Anyway, I was tickled to meet Jake's best friend, also Jake.  I want so much to share with him and be a big part of his life like he is for me.

I'll never forget it.  He told me he loved me and I know I've found something special.

Six happy months!

It has been six months since my first date with Jake.  Who would have thought I would find him!

I've been pretty content being single for a long time now.  I'm content being who I am not not answering to anyone.  I never really thought I'd find anyone who I wanted to spend serious time with.  I've been there, done that and got burned bad.  Plus I'm kind of a jerk.  I admit it.

For some reason, Jake puts up with me.  He seems to like me just as much as I like him.  I'm so lucky!

Paint until it's done!

Because I am the best girlfriend ever, and the fact that he desperately needs my help, I agreed to help Jake paint his spare room today.  He has a new roommate moving in and the BRIGHT LIME GREEN of the room is an eyesore that no one should have to live with.  He's never painted a room before and, despite the fact that I hate doing it, it isn't my first painting rodeo.

And I got to paint Jake's nose!

What has happened to me that I will volunteer to paint a room?  WHO AM I?

Back in town!

I'm home from Boise!  It was a good trip and I'm so proud of Angie but I'm very glad to be back.

My man picked me up from the airport with chocolate covered strawberries!  Squeee!  I sure can pick them can't I?  He asked me to bring back a potato from Idaho so what did I do?  That's right, I brought my baby a real potato and a little potato man.

I don't normally mind going out of town.  In fact, I love traveling.  However, this is the first time that I have missed someone back at home.

Of course, on the way back my eye started feeling weird.  My right eyelid began hurting and swelled up a bit.  I swear to God that if I get pink eye again I'm going to be pretty upset.  I've never had problems with my eye before and now twice in recent memory.  Course I could just be bitter because it has me back in my glasses, which I do not like.  Hopefully it feels better soon.  I kind of want to look up my symptoms on WebMD but I know that will be a mistake because it will tell me I have a parasite in my eye or cancer or something else equally as horrible.  WebMD is just never a good idea.

I'm thankful for Jake.  Jake makes me feel special and beautiful and he makes me laugh.  What more can I ask for in a man?  Dating has always been a bit hard for me because I don't think I knew myself.  Now that I know myself I am so happy to share that with a guy like him.  Kisses!

Okay I'm only going to post a little bit about this.  Mostly because if you want to know then you should ask me directly.  But I know some of you are just going to be so shocked you'll fall out of your chairs.  Be warned now, hold on to your chair!

Shocked aren't you?  He's a boy so no, I'm not a lesbian.  I like boys.  I just generally don't find them amusing enough to take up my time.  He's amusing, makes me laugh and I like him.  So there!
